Eternal Spring Shrine

This shrine was rebuilt in 1958 as a memorial to the 212 workers who were killed during the construction of the Cross-Island Highway which goes through perilous mountain passes in this area. Part of the roadway was destroyed during the recent earthquake and is being rebuilt now.
